Fees
Quotes can be provided prior to your consultation as this will vary depending on the treatment required for the presenting condition, which diagnostic tests must be performed, and your level of private health cover. We accept multiple forms of payment including cash, credit card, and HICAPS, and accept all health insurance providers.
As a specialist orthopedic surgeon, this not a Bulk Billing practice and provision for payment should be supplied to the office prior to your appointment.
Surgery fees
All patients are advised to contact their health fund and confirm cover for the indicated procedure prior to admission.
Mr Jacob has structured his fees based on AMA (Australian Medical Association) guidelines.
However, he has voluntarily capped his gap charges to help reduce patient out of pocket costs.
We invite you to contact our rooms to discuss this in more detail for clarity.
Please note that the fees quoted by Mr Jacob refer to the orthopedic surgeon fees only and do not cover the cost of any other associated medical expenses such as hospital charges, anaesthesia, surgical assistant, radiology, medication, pathology etc. These may be partly or fully covered by your health fund, and you are strongly encouraged to check with them regarding these.

Every patient waiting for elective surgery is assessed by their treating medical professional as Category 1, 2 or 3 as per the following definitions:
