Elbow Operative Procedures

Biceps tendon injuries

Surgical reattachment of damaged tendons to restore elbow and shoulder stability and full lifting strength.

Surgery is recommended when conservative treatment fails or when a complete rupture is confirmed, with distal biceps repairs in particular producing excellent outcomes in active patients who require full restoration of forearm rotation and elbow flexion strength. These are often supplemented with Platelet rich plasma or other biologics.

Tennis elbow and Golfers elbow

Repairs damaged tendons to relieve chronic pain and restore strength for gripping and lifting tasks.

While most cases resolve with non-surgical management, surgery is considered when symptoms persist beyond 6 to 12 months, involving removal of the degenerative tendon tissue and reattachment to promote healthy healing and durable pain relief. These are often supplemented with Platelet rich plasma or other biologics.

Nerve Entrapment

Release and reposition the ulnar nerve when it is irritated around the elbow, restoring function and relieving pain.

By freeing the nerve pathway, it effectively relieves pain, numbness, and tingling while restoring full strength and function to the hand. It is a highly precise treatment designed to prevent long-term nerve damage and accelerate your recovery.

Elbow Non-Operative Procedures

Use of autologous platelet rich plasma injections

A biological treatment used for chronic tendon tears (Epicondylitis), utilizing your own growth factors to promote healing in the elbow when traditional therapy has plateaued.

Conservative management of all fractures in plaster/splint/orthotics

A conservative approach to managing stable elbow fractures or nerve irritations, using custom bracing to protect the joint while maintaining functional use of the hand.

Precise image guided steroid injections

A precision-targeted steroid injection to settle acute inflammation around the elbow or joint space, providing the relief needed to progress with corrective rehabilitation.

Non operative management of tendinopathies

A specialist pathway for Tennis and Golfer’s elbow, using targeted loading programs and bracing to stimulate tendon healing and restore pain-free grip and forearm strength.
